Where to find coupons – printable coupons and other resources:
I always get asked, where do I get my coupons? There are many resources available to obtain printable coupons, however, I must tell you, I am not one of those couponers you may have seen on TV, who has a “coupon room” or whose coupons “came from God” I personally only have a subscription to one paper, and get another set from my next door neighbor (It’s a trade off, she has access to my stockpile closet).
You don’t have to subscribe to a million papers, or bribe the paperboy.
I do suggest getting 2 sets of coupons, for BOGO (Buy one get one free) sales. I usually shop at Publix, and their policy allows for one coupon for each item, even if the second item is free!
For really hot coupons, I have a great group of friends who I trade with online. Be cautious about obtaining coupons from E-bay, as selling coupons is illegal, and some people that sell “the time they spend to clip the coupons” are less than ethical.
You can also be creative in your search for coupons, they turn up in the least expected places. I once found coupon inserts at my local library!
Printable coupon resources:
There are also some valuable resources to obtain printable coupons:
Coupons.com (I go through Swagbucks to print these, more on that later)
I also go to websites for my local stores, many of which have coupons on their own site, store coupons, which is a bonus! These coupons can be stacked with manafacturer coupons at many stores for sweeter savings:
Don’t forget Facebook. Some of the best coupons (IMO) are found there. You can also score some sweet coupons by writing your favorite companies, who may or may not reward you for your efforts. Anyone else have great places to get coupons? Share with us.
