Great Publix deals are easy once you know what to look for.
Over the next couple days I am going to share with you a few tips about getting great Publix deals and getting the most for your money at Publix. The first tip?
Know your competitors.
Each store has different competitors for which they will take coupons, and this policy can bring great rewards at the cash register, as you are allowed to “stack” (use together) 1 Publix OR
1 competitor AND 1 manufacturer coupon per item (even when that item is Buy One Get One Free!) Your store may have this where the ads are, or you may have to ask for it at the Customer Service Desk. It looks like this:
Using Publix Store Coupons with Manufacturer coupons = Publix Deals
The first thing I did with this list is evaluate where I could print or obtain store coupons to use WITH manufacturer coupons.
I signed up for Doris’s mailing list and receive their ad in the mail and also am able to print Doris’ coupons at Great Deals In My City – Doris coupons.
(Update to this post – As of April 1st, 2013 my Publix no longer accepts Doris as a competitor)
Target.com has store coupons. Go here to print Target Store Coupons, but be careful, some may be manufacturers’ coupons.
There is very good information to be found here – How to Tell Which are Target Coupons Before Printing
Whole Foods Market also has coupons on their website; Whole Foods Markets – Coupons.
I called Winn Dixie ( 1-866-946-6349) and asked to be put on their mailing list, and I receive the ad in the mail. To be honest, I know Bravo is on the list, but the store is so far away, I don’t really bother with this one.
Once you know where to go to find store coupons to stack with your manufacturer coupons, this is really half the battle. This is also the first secret to successful shopping at Publix. Come back tomorrow and we will share more Publix deals secrets on how to pay pennies on the dollar at the checkout lane.
